3. Get a scope on paper
The scope should cover preparation, protection, materials, access, permits, testing, cleanup, finish restoration, exclusions, and change-order terms.
4. Compare more than the total
Confirm credentials first, then compare the logic and limits of each proposal — not just the price at the bottom.
5. Sign off carefully
Verify testing, cleanup, paperwork, warranty terms, and who’s responsible for maintenance going forward.
